Day 80 - We are God's House

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Does your life reflect that we are God's house?

Do you not see that you are God's holy house, and that the Spirit of God has his place in you? (1 Corinthians 3.16 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

It seems easy to allow our days to blur one after another. A routine that can be lived almost on autopilot. What are we missing when we do that? Considering that we are God's house, holy and beautiful and that God is within us, are we serving as we can when we are on autopilot? Can we hear God's voice when dulled by what is happening around us?

Prayer:

God, Am I asleep in my life? Wake those parts of my heart and mind that are asleep today. Urge me to find even better ways to live for you. Help me see what I can improve and change to serve my purpose fully awake and happy to treasure you, the God of Heaven, and you, the God within me. I am grateful for your help. I want this life to be meaningful, you gifted me with it, and I want to do all I can to cherish your gift. Amen.

Another great prayer for the day. My days blur together at times but I always find time to talk with God. He is the one that keeps me going.

The tangle today teases me to draw to eyes (wide open) on its face. The 'headband' is great!

Maybe it's time I take off the headband? Perhaps it's too tight?

My life does seem to be a blur of activity with less time to sit in God's presence these days. It isn't fruitless activity, though, as much is centered around caring for my parents.

I'm sure you have thought about when you show your love to your parents, you are also showing love and faith to the Lord. This is a challenging part of our lives, I have been through it and a blur is how I would describe quite a bit of the time. I have to believe this is a way the Lord is asking you to serve him. You are an example of love, care and service with your actions. God Bless You and your parents. I hope you can find joy in this experience, as you said it is not fruitless! Cindy Rae
