Day 70 - God's Vision of our Needs and Future

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Considering God's Vision of our Needs.

But through holy blood, like that of a clean and unmarked lamb, even the blood of Christ: Who was marked out by God before the making of the world, but was caused to be seen in these last times for you, Who through him have faith in God who took him up again from the dead into glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. And as you have made your souls clean, being ruled by what is true, and loving one another without deceit, see that your love is warm and from the heart:
Because you have had a new birth, not from the seed of man, but from eternal seed, through the word of a living and unchanging God. For it is said, All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the grass. The grass becomes dry and the flower dead: But the word of the Lord is eternal. And this is the word of the good news which was given to you. (1 Peter 1.19-15 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

"...living and unchanged God." What a beautiful certainty, and the thought that we have new life from "eternal seed" is awe-inspiring to consider. Jesus was known to God before the earth was made. Can you imagine knowing all that would be forever? It is incomprehensible to us but not to our Heavenly Father. God's vision of our needs and future is his love demonstrated continuously.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, maker of our world, heavens, Jesus, and me. I am grateful for these things and so much more. I continue to be amazed by your power and the power of the Old and New Testaments. To have walked in Peters's footsteps had to be overwhelming at times and awe-inspiring at others. I am so grateful for your vision and love. Amen.
