Our humanity means we are vulnerable by merely existing.
A curse on the designers of evil, working on their beds! in the morning light they do it, because it is in their power.
They have a desire for fields and take them by force; and for houses and take them away: they are cruel to a man and his family, even to a man and his heritage. (Micah 2.1-2 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Unfortunately, the world is full of lies, and we are vulnerable by merely existing. Our humanness and our frailty of spirit can weaken us and make us vulnerable to lies. How can something that makes you feel good be a lie? It can be because that is part of the lie's purpose. It eases us into releasing our hold on God. A little at a time. Time after time until we are changed. A little of our light fades. Yet, it is never too late to realize and repent until it is too late. Fight the evil with the armor of God, the love and forgiveness of Jesus. They are your cheerleader, ready to help with a call-out and prayer for support. You have only to ask with sincerity. You are a hero to Jesus. He gave everything with love for your freedom and success in this life and the next. Realize that Jesus always stands with you, and the Father carries you when you ask. You have unimaginable strength with them to overcome and accomplish much more than you have considered. Defeat the lies, and live the life you are called to live.
Prayer:
Jesus, save me from myself and the lies I accept without seeing them. Open my eyes so my mind and heart can change forever. I love you and the Father. I need you both to survive and thrive. I am here, yours forever. I call out in need and know you will give me the strength to become as you know I can be. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
