Day 339 - Steadiness and Fidelity to the Lord

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Why does our steadiness and fidelity to the Lord waver?

Have you ever noticed that some people's steadiness and fidelity to the Lord wavers as the wind stirs the leaves on a tree? The lack of consistency is evident. Why is that? What about a hum causes such varying degrees of commitment? Why does the shine wear off, and we grow tired? In the Book of Revelations, the word warns us of this fatigue. It also tells us we must return to the Lord as new believers full of joy and intensity to do the Lord's work, suffer if needed, and be joyful to serve. Recover and rebuild your faith. Encourage anyone you see who struggles to repent and return to the Lord. Their joy for doing so will have no end.

Prayer:

Precious Jesus, I heard your call and acted. I recognized the Lord and leaped for joy. But I grew weary and stopped carrying my love for you in my heart, face, words, and actions as I once did. Please forgive me and heal my fatigue. Help me return to your magnificent joy. If I am not struggling, I thank you, but I ask you to heal all I know who have lost the shine of your love in their lives. Re-awaken and shower us with your good spirit of action, kindness, and love. Please accept my request for forgiveness, humble blessings on you, and gratitude for being there. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
