Ask the Lord, and you will receive. Feel comfortable knocking at his door with faith.
And it came about that he was in prayer in a certain place, and when he came to an end, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, will you give us teaching about prayer, as John did to his disciples?
And he said to them, When you say your prayers, say, Father, may your name be kept holy and your kingdom come.
Give us every day bread for our needs.
May we have forgiveness for our sins, as we make free all those who are in debt to us. And let us not be put to the test. (Luke 11.1-4 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
What do you need to ask of our Father today? You have only to ask with belief, and your request will be fulfilled. Be aware that what you seek may be received in an unexpected manner, but your request will be granted. It is God's promise. The Lord knows what you need and truly wish for. Sometimes, we are not quite as aware! But you will be blessed when you ask, just as you will find the Lord if you knock at the door with faith.
Jesus explained making requests to the Father.
And I say to you, Make requests, and they will be answered; what you are searching for, you will get; when you give the sign, the door will be open to you.
For to everyone who makes a request, it will be given; and he who is searching will get his desire; and to him who gives the sign, the door will be open. (Luke 11.9-10 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Prayer:
You know my mind and my heart, Lord. I ask you to grant or help me to receive what I desire. Please refrain from granting anything unworthy of you. I trust that you will grant what is best for me if my request is not quite what I need. I also ask that you guide me in the service of others today. Help me recognize those in need and enable me to do as I should; they are my brothers and sisters, and I want to serve. You bless me every day, Lord, and I am grateful. I am thankful that you place the beauty of love in my life. Your love is the most precious of all, and I will gladly open that door every day. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
