Day 309 - God is Love, and So Are We

The grace in knowing God is love, and so are we.

See what great love the Father has given us in naming us the children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not see who we are, because it did not see who he was.

My loved ones, now we are children of God, and at present it is not clear what we are to be. We are certain that at his revelation we will be like him; for we will see him as he is.

And everyone who has this hope in him makes himself holy, even as he is holy. (1 John 3.1-3 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

This Scripture is so straightforward in its message. God is love, and so are we all love. We are completely loved, and we are love, made by pure love by our Father. We are like God, and one day, we will be amazed by the revelation of God's faithful and complete beauty. Today, no one can imagine the revelation of pure love. Still, it is a wonder and joy to consider and wait for—a spectacular promise of hope and knowledge to strengthen you in your ongoing fight against evil. Be confident you have everything you need to win any battle when battling for God and with God.

You are holy when you believe in the Father. What does being Holy mean to you? How can you best serve this wonderful gift and the one who bestowed it? What does the world being unable to see who you are mean? Could this be a protection that is conferred on believers? Where can the understanding that you are pure love take you in life?

Prayer:

Holy Lord, Father of us all, thank you for your scriptures and their assurance of my future and fate. I also thank you for protecting me from the world while I love you and seek daily to purify my heart, mind, and actions. You are my king, and I will do all I can to follow you and your precious son with love. Holy Spirit, I am yours to guide. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
