What does creating a new heart in Jesus Christ mean for you?
In Philemon, Paul wrote
So brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: give new life to my heart in Christ. (Philemon 1.20 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Paul wrote these words while imprisoned for his beliefs, yet it wasn't from anger that he penned them.
...give new life to my heart in Christ.
They were words of praise, acceptance, and honor for Christ. He knew that only Jesus and the Lord could bring him the peace he claimed. What does it mean for you to claim these words?
...give new life to my heart in Christ.
Prayer:
Lord Father of all and my Savior Jesus Christ, open my mind and heart to what refreshing my heart in sweet Jesus would really mean. How would I be different, what would I change, how do I go about it? I want to refresh my whole mind, body, and spirit in you, Jesus Christ. I am yours and wish to serve entirely and wholly for you. You are the refreshment I crave, and the journey with you is the one I seek. Help me, dear Lord, create a new heart that refreshes me in your precious son. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
