Day 291 - Give Yourself the Gift of Continuous Prayer

There is no sacrifice when you give yourself the gift of continuous prayer.

Give yourselves to prayer at all times, keeping watch with praise;

And making prayer for us, that God may give us an open door for the preaching of the word, the secret of Christ, for which I am now in chains; (Colossians 4.2-3 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Pray always for you and the world. Prayer is your intimate connection with the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Giving yourself the gift of continuous prayer is like opening a present every minute of the day. The surprise and delight you can experience is something we dream of yet do not realize is possible. Humans have needs they don't know how to fill. Those needs often lead to problems in their lives. Prayer is an answer to filling any gaps in your life. Pray constantly for guidance to remain focused on the Lord's path for your life. See how the Lord responds. Most likely, the gaps will begin to be filled as you feel more and more complete and your prayers take a new place in your thoughts.

Pray continually for the salvation of others through the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ.

Pray fervently for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit so you are always aligned with God.

Prayer:

Lord, I reach out in humility with the desire to live in your love and serve you consistently and continually. With Jesus and the Holy Spirit at your side, I ask you to lead, advise, and love me so I can succeed for you. Please help me pray continuously and to fill the holes in my life with your love through prayer. I live through you and desire to share you freely with others. I love you and the grace you continuously provide in response to my spoken and unspoken prayers. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
