Day 287 - Stay Strong in Your Faith Despite Persecution and Criticism

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Remaining firm in your faith despite persecution and criticism is not easy.

Sometimes, being a Christian is very difficult. There may be times when you feel others scorn or disapproval. Staying strong in your faith despite persecution and criticism will rarely be easy. You must seek the Lord and hold your head high during these times. Belief in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is nothing to hide from. There is no reason you should stand alone. You only have to ask the Lord for assistance; he is there. There is no greater love than the Lord's love for you and the love you return. This beautiful love can give you strength and the ability to stand tall in the face of the enemy. The enemy is at the root of scorn; he does not want you to believe, so he attempts to chip away at your faith in every way he can. He looks for your most sensitive point and attempts to continually erode your confidence, your belief in God, and yourself. Your courage, prayer and God's assistance will save you. That is God's promise. Remember and remind yourself of these words. Draw strength from knowing they are absolute truth.

The Lord saves me today and always.

The Lord protects me today and always.

The Lord keeps me today and always.

The Lord grants me peace today and always.

It is in the Lord that I find joy.

I am the Lord's servant today and always.

Prayer:

Today, I or someone I know is at war with the enemy. He is trying to defeat us by making our beliefs gradually fall away. He is trying to rip our foundation of belief away, leaving us scared, alone, and afraid. He wants to ruin lives, and I cannot let that happen. Please help me and all your children who struggle against evil words and actions from non-believers. Replace vulnerability with strength and a shield of holy protection to persevere and continue to bring others to you. Through you, Lord, all things can be done. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
