Day 276 - The Mercy of God

Do you see the continual mercy of God in your life and other's lives?

The Lord continues to love whether you falter or never waiver in your faith. Did you know that before a person completely accepts Jesus, the Lord loves them and waits patiently? That person is already his; they may not have completed their acceptance, but Jesus is already with them, helping and waiting. It is as if the moment we have a glimmer of God in our hearts, mind, and soul, he is there. Image a cherished relative that has only to hear their name, and they are anxious to see what you need. This is God also. Sometimes, you may not know to cry out for the Lord vocally, but he hears your thoughts and knows you are on the journey. His mercy is there like a warm blanket in wither or a cool breeze in summer. He refreshes you, revives you, and calls you to him.

But you, my loved ones, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, and making prayers in the Holy Spirit,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for life eternal through the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And have pity on those who are in doubt;
And to some give salvation, pulling them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the clothing which is made unclean by the flesh. (Jude 1.20-23 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, your mercy overwhelms me with wonder. That you always knew what I needed well before I understood the real need was incredible. Your grace and patience are magnificent in their breadth. I am awestruck by your love for me and all of my brothers and sisters, no matter who their parents were. I cannot imagine the horror of life without you, and I am grateful I will never have to. Lord, for those who have not accepted Jesus yet, I pray that their journey to your beloved Son is quick and love-filled. May their lives be changed in the best ways, filled with the mercy of God, and may their journey with you be long and wonderful. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
