Finding the genuine love God offers us through the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Do you understand what the Fruits of the Holy Spirit mean to your life?
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control
With love, the desires of your heart are quenched.
With joy, you find the happiness that fills your whole being, pushing out sorrow.
With peace, you find the grace to be yourself, liking and loving yourself, and knowing you are aligned with Jesus.
With patience, both your and others' patience toward you, you learn and grow, developing the understanding of what an action of love is and the skills to use it as you can.
With kindness, you reach the God within and use it to help others with genuine sincerity.
With generosity, kindness is taken to levels where you stop worrying about how a thing or action affects you and only focus on how to help another.
With faithfulness, nothing can shake or change your belief in God or others.
With gentleness, even the most horrid of creatures will see an example of God and Jesus in action.
With self-control, you have power over your life; you can make wise and sometimes difficult decisions. You are not overwhelmed by your humanness, your flesh. Instead, you are comforted and led by the Spirit.
Prayer:
Jesus, I know that when I received the gift of the Holy Spirit, I also received the Fruits; some call them gifts of the Spirit. Help me remember these fruits and act with them to be the child of God I am called to be. Enable me to recognize the call and voice of the Holy Spirit, my guide through life to eternity. I want to enjoy the fruits of the Spirit and act where I can use them to be a visible beacon for Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit in this world. Thank you for loving me so much that you created a path for me to follow you now and to find you when I leave this earth. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
