Day 27 - Finding God's Consistency Within Ourselves

Updated: Dec 22, 2023

Emulating God's Consistency is worth the effort.

From day to day, do you find it challenging to feel and demonstrate your faith consistently? For example, do you struggle on Tuesday to be your best, yet on Wednesday, you dig deep and discover the strength to meet the challenges in a way you feel is deserving of God?

Consistency is key. God's consistency with us is our consistency model. The Bible explains to us over and over just how much faith God has in us and how much love. If we could select one page describing this love and model our lives after it, we would probably learn just how profound love is and how it can change our lives.

Prayer:

God, I am not consistent. My humanity is my stumbling block, yet I understand you find it is our beauty also. Gently remind me that you are there, eagerly waiting for my notice of you. Forgive me when I forget or fail to recognize your reminder. The failed action was unintentional, and I will likely regret my neglect later. I know you do not ask me to have regret. Instead, you ask me to change. With intention, I turn my regrets over to you to become more consistent in my love for you. My potential for love, joy, and happiness is limitless with you. I embrace you and that freedom with all my heart. Forgive my inaction and help me replace it with your joy.

You ask us to make a world filled with your joy. I thank you for inviting me on this journey and ask for your continued blessings with all the love I can give. In your Son's name, Jesus Christ. Amen

It is so easy to be so engaged in our lives that we neglect what might be staring us in the face. I can't help but think it is a real duh moment when that happens!
