With Jesus, learn how to break free from fear's paralyzing grip.

And on that day you will put no questions to me. Truly I say to you, Whatever request you make to the Father, he will give it to you in my name.
Up to now you have made no request in my name: do so, and it will be answered, so that your hearts may be full of joy. (John 16.23-24 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Fear is a darkness that overwhelms and binds you without rope or chains. Yet fear is capable of freezing us in a place of no power. We are left to tremble and quake in the darkness exactly where the enemy wants us!

He wants you to shudder with fear, to be stuck in the quicksand of paralysis. When you are in fear, the light is hidden; you suffer and agonize in the loneliness of his shadow. The key is to realize when you need to end the sorrow that is overwhelming you. When you are caught in fear and need to break through the darkness.

The light is there. The light of Christ will shine through the loneliness to warm you with the knowledge you are not alone. You are the one Christ came to this world to give hope to. The Father sees you and hears your whimper. Open yourself to the knowledge that you have control to stop this and change your life forever. You are already taking steps to be free and to stand in Christ's light. Continue forward and break free of whatever fear is binding you. Pray in Jesus's name, and you will be heard. He promised and would never break a promise. Have faith, for our Father has enough faith in you to fill the ocean and enough love to forgive the multitude with only a sincere request. He knows you. He knows your heart. Replace your fear, and welcome your Father back to all areas of your life. Welcome him and see the glory of your God, the only one that can save us from destruction.

Prayer:

I call out to you, Jesus, asking for your help to replace the fears in my life with your light. I tell myself to stop being afraid, but it doesn't always work. It is easier now, but still, I struggle with fear of different things. I know it is yet another way the evil one is trying to take me away from you, from God. I do not want to offer him that opportunity. I ask you to mature my thoughts and enable me to more intently listen to the Spirit who is gently trying to help me help myself. Perhaps I need a less gentle approach! On days when your peace overrides everything else, I feel no fear and am grateful for those moments. Please help me, Jesus to overcome my fears. Remind me that nothing can take me away from you unless I let it, so why should I fear? I turn over my worries to you, Lord, with trust that all will be as it should. With you and Jesus, I can break free from fear's paralyzing grip. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
