Day 221 - Accept the Grace God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit Bestow

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Do you accept the grace God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit bestow on your life?

And he who sees me, sees him who sent me.
I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who has faith in me will go on living in the dark.
And if any man gives ear to my words and does not keep them, I am not his judge: I did not come to be judge of the world but to give salvation to the world.
He who puts me on one side and does not take my words to heart, is not without a judge: the word which I have said will be his judge on the last day.
For I have not said it on my authority, but the Father who sent me gave me orders what to say and how to say it.
And I have knowledge that his order is eternal life: so that the things which I say, I say them even as the Father says them to me. (John 12.45-50 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

In the Scripture above, Jesus explained what the people needed to accept and understand about him and God. Yet not everyone would believe him.

Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit or Ghost can seem confusing. How are these three in one? Each acting differently, but always with a single purpose.

God is complex. There is no doubt about that. Yet he is the creator of life, Jesus is all love, and the Holy Spirit is all wisdom and knowledge. You might wonder how does this work? How is probably the wrong question. We are not meant to know how. Instead, we must accept that he is alive and with us today and always. He is our Creator, Protector, and Savior, True Love, and Advisor, Guide. All of these aspects and more, three in one. The Holy Trinity.

Your role is simple yet challenging: accept the grace God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit bestow on you. Believe and accept his grace to receive all the answers you will ever need in this life and the next, or believe and need no answers to have faith. Perhaps you can just know?

Prayer:

Holy Father, Loving Jesus, and Holy Spirit who is wise beyond my comprehension, please continue to open my heart and mind to your mysteries. I am not asking you to answer my questions. Instead, I am asking you to grow my faith so there are fewer and fewer times that I have questions. I have all I will ever need with the three of you. I will walk in the light of Jesus and use the wisdom of the Holy Spirit continually to keep you, God, close to my heart. I can only imagine where we can go together. I see that where I have come from is far from what I ever expected, yet it is more beautiful than I could have wished for. My relationship with you is precious, and I am thankful there are many opportunities for me to continue growing my experiences. Please keep me in your light and help me encourage others. I want to do this in your name. Amen.

I love these words: I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who has faith in me will go on living in the dark.
