To battle this, we must remember that the Lord is always waiting for our requests.

I made my wrongdoing clear to you, and did not keep back my sin. I said, I will put it all before the Lord; and you took away my wrongdoing and my sin. (Selah.) (Psalms 32.5 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

The Lord knows all, created all, and watches over all creations.

The Lord's purpose is eternal, the designs of his heart go on through all the generations of man.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has taken for his heritage.
The Lord is looking down from heaven; he sees all the sons of men; From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth; He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him. (Psalms 33.11.15 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Why is following the righteous path so difficult and the sinful path tempting? Perhaps Satan places a veil over us, convincing us of the ease. A veil that takes advantage of whatever weakness we have at the time. He sees our weaknesses and uses them against us. To battle this, we must remember that the Lord is always waiting for our requests. When you first recognize a challenge, pray, and eliminate Satan's advantage. With God, it will disappear. He sees you and keeps watch over you always. Place your justified feet one in front of another with God as your shield. Let him veil you from temptation. Fight for yourself; your life depends on it. With God, there is no war, only skirmishes to overcome. Fight for your relationship with God and eternity. What is a pleasure today is nothing in comparison to the treasure of Heaven.

Prayer:

Heavenly Creator, hear my prayer for the help I need to fight the temptations that currently plague me. Please remove them, and ease the urgency of their call so that I might move on with my life and the journey for you without them. Heal my soul and strengthen my resolve. With you, I can win these skirmishes with my soul intact. That evil-doer continues placing new temptations in my life, and I do not want to give him entry. Holy Spirit, speak to me in warning of any weakness that Satan is using for his good. Lord, you are my shield and I stand firm in belief of your power to overcome all dangers. Amen.

Cindy Rae, let's be comforted by 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (ESV). So we have the power and the self-control to fight temptations. Blessings to you!
