Day 184 - Filled With the Spirit of the Ever-living God

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

I am a letter of Christ, filled with the Spirit of the ever-living God.

Paul, in his and Timothy's letter to the Church of Corinth, wrote:

You yourselves are our letter, whose writing is in our heart, open for every man's reading and knowledge; For you are clearly a letter of Christ, the fruit of our work, recorded not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in stone, but in hearts of flesh. And this is the certain faith which we have in God through Christ: Not as if we were able by ourselves to do anything for which we might take the credit; but our power comes from God; (2 Corinthians 3.2-5 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

You, too, are a letter of Christ, filled with the Spirit of the ever-living God. Considering the impact on your life is a wondrous and intimidating thought. If you accept this, you accept freedom from eternal suffering. Freedom to be with those you love. Freedom to rejoice every moment of whatever time exists in Heaven. Freedom to know and experience pure love, such as you have never known. True freedom to be everything you are meant to be and so much more than you can dream of. Free your heart and mind through belief and faith every minute of every day.

But when it is turned to the Lord, the veil will be taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there the heart is free. But we all, with unveiled face giving back as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3.16-18 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Prayer:

Precious Jesus, you saved me from the sin of life with only a request from me for forgiveness. I am more grateful than I can ever have beautiful enough words. You removed the veil over my life, freeing my life to be a wonder of your love.

I don't know where I will go and who I will meet and affect, but I know that I will look into the eyes of everyone I meet to see you in them. Every person carries you within, and I want to be a person who helps them find you and the freedom you offer. Use me however you see fit while continuing to grow me and what I can accomplish for you. Thank you for the blessings of my life. You are the most incredible and beautiful Lord that anyone can imagine. Amen.
