Where is God on your list of confidants? First or last?
Where do you first run when you feel troubled? A relative, friend, your pastor? Where is God on your list of confidants? First or last? Our lives are full of dilemmas and concerns, promises, and prayers. But where and when does God come in?
But as for me, I would make my prayer to God, and I would put my cause before him: Who does great things outside our knowledge, wonders without number: Who gives rain on the earth, and sends water on the fields: Lifting up those who are low, and putting the sad in a safe place; (Job 5.8-11 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Prayer:
God of all prayers, today I bring my needs to you. You know my heart and the requirements of my heart and soul. You know, when I feel uncertain or torn between ideas. Remove the clutter in my mind and help me see the truth of my next action or decision. There are no better words than the Scripture from Job to describe you. You lift me when I am low and move my sadness away from my mind and heart. I am grateful for your ability to solve all problems and make everything as it should be. Again, I am thankful for your magnificence, Lord. Amen.

Word of the Day
CONFIDANT
Read the Scripture from JOB in context on the Bible in Basic English website.
Oh, I love that prayer! Thank you. There are moments when I can't quite feel God's presence, even though I know God is always there. But today, I had a great heart-to-heart with him. - Jeanine Byers
A great reminder of where to look for help and support.
