Day 162 - Heavenly God, Remove The Blinders From My Life

Hear my prayer, Heavenly God, remove the blinders from my life.

Then if any man says to you, See, here is the Christ, or, Here; do not put faith in him; For there will come up false Christs, and false prophets, who will do great signs and wonders; so that if possible even the saints might be tricked. (Matthew 24.23-24 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Many will call you to follow, but only one is the Lord. You are besieged by every kind of false idol every day. You are bombarded by things and people designed to pull you from the truth. Some of this may be intentional by the deliverer, but be sure that evil finds ways to use and turn good people. It would be best if you acted within your convictions and beliefs. If you feel that something is not quite right, pay attention; the Holy Spirit sometimes reaches out to you in that way. He will try to warn you. Your conscience will try to warn you. Please don't ignore it. Act on it, and go another direction. Stop doing what you are doing. Be careful not to let your ego or arrogance convince you it will be okay. Don't be compelled to do wrong because you are with others. Standing by your convictions could ultimately be what someone else needs to see to gain perspective. Be humble and bring yourself to God for help.

Prayer:

Heavenly God, remove the blinders from my life that allow me to let false prophets and idols into my life. Where I need courage, please give me the courage of a lion. When I need to fly, please give me a hummingbird's wings. You know what I need and when. I trust it will be provided. I will listen to your voice and do as I am guided. I will not be perfect, but I will be with you and try to learn from every moment. I love you and your precious son. I am grateful that you are my Lord. Amen.
