Drop any arrogance you may have. No person or thing can come before God.
Beware of your feelings toward yourself. Humility is a vital grace that we can achieve with God. Arrogance and pride lead to complete and often the utter failure of faith. They enable your mind to put yourself before God. It is a trick of evil. To believe in yourself so highly is to put God second at best. This is exactly what evil wants.
No person or thing can come before God, just as no person is the master of another. Being humble and always being aware of our human frailties is critical. They can bloom innocently and so quickly. Destroy them and arrogance with prayer and service. When we serve others, we are humbled by the face of God we see in them.
Prayer:
God of all that is good and loving. I am so human. Sometimes, I am drawn to pride and a high feeling of myself. It is wrong. I know you don't want me to be unappreciative of the gifts you give me, but I see a line that I must continually draw to move through life without becoming vain and arrogant. You enable me to succeed. You make opportunities occur. I need to remember that I do the work for you. It is your work, not mine. I am the servant to my destiny and happily so, for I know the reward is much more important than the feeling I receive when thinking too highly of myself. Pride is fleeting and damages my relationships with you and others. I gladly forsake that for the reward of heaven. You have my grateful heart. Amen.

HUMILITY
I need to remember that I do the work for you, God. It is your work, not mine. I am the servant to my destiny and happily so, for I know the reward is much more important than the feeling I receive when thinking too highly of myself.
