Day 143 - Like God, You Are a Creator

Like God, you are a creator, destined to create and impact the world.

You are the Lord, even you only; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens with all their armies, the earth and all things in it, the seas and everything in them; and you keep them from destruction: and the armies of heaven are your worshippers. You are the Lord, the God, who took Abram and made him yours, guiding him from Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham; (Nehemiah 9.6-7 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

The Lord created all there is for us, for humanity. His beautiful hand turned nothing into everything. We can do the same with our lives if we choose to.

You, like God, are a creator, destined to create and impact the world and your life. That doesn't mean you have to be an artist, but it does mean that every action in your life is creative in some way, even your prayers to God. Create the life you are called to, and cherish the many gifts on the journey:

Love of our Lord,
Family, either by blood, bond, or sameness of spirit,
The joy of service to others,
Happiness that is found in the smiles and hugs of others,
Appreciation for the beauty of all things.

And so much more will be unique to your journey with God.

Prayer:

Blessed Creator God, Help me recognize the journey and creations I am to leave in this world. Help me create them as you would. Enable my mind to hear your voice in my heart so that I can fulfill the promise of my life for you. I love that you give me a choice to create as best for me. At the same time, I know that ability is your gift. Thank you for all of the things that make me unique. Help me recognize them, not for vanity, but for use. That I may remember and use my uniqueness for your purpose. I love you, and thank you for all my skills, gifts, and blessings. Amen.
